During learning in the course the student is going to get to know the process of proportional shaping of screen content, the differences of analogue and digital photography, the main caharacteristics of the human eye and the optical image forming tools, the aspects of making an image. The student becomes familiar with the application of the widespread graphical image formats, the basics of colour perception, the vector and bitmap graphics, the types of video signals, the basics of image and sound recording, the colour systems applied in the electroni image formation, the main structural parts of video cameras, the aspects of video film recording, the role of the lights, the colours and the lighting in a composition. Furthermore the student learn the use of a 3D modelling software.
The student must be able to use a computer and its accessories in order to edit a photo. The student must be able to make a model based on a draft image with 3D graphic modelling.
6-8 h / week. Students work independently from each other.
Camera or mobile phone capable of taking photo and the student’s ability to transfer them to a computer.
Adobe Photoshop application (minimum CS4).
There will be 5 midterm assignments (MA) and an assigmnet-based final exam (FE). The final grade will be calculated based on the final student’s score as follows:
(MA1+MA2+MA3+MA4+MA5)*0,8 + FE*1,0. For each assignment a maxmum of 100 points can be reached.
